Soar Children ‘Visiting the Bears’ to work on the children’s next steps.

We put wooden items on the floor when we went on the journey, so we could use prepositions to go over, around, and between.

Then we had to clean up the fairy tale world (the forest) and pick up the blocks according to the description called out.    After all that tidying, we made it to the path.  But we had to make sure we took the right path.  Marion used pictures of bunnies and other woodland animals, and we had different maths challenges using them to find the right path.

When we reached the end of the path, we expected a cottage, but it wasn’t there! We used blocks to make a cottage together and described the shapes as it grew.

We had to do a secret knock to wake the bears, but no one came to the door.  We all talked about ‘Clever Never Goes’ (New Stranger danger) and whether it would be safe to enter the cottage.

We decided no, but we could hear crying.  Fortunately, Mother Bear came to the door. She was crying as Little Bear was missing.  We made her tea to help her calm down.  Lots of pouring practice and we tried tea.  Only one little one liked it 😊.

Then we noticed all the shoes and decided to help tidy up.  We had to decide together whose shoes were whose.  We couldn’t use colour we had to use size.  A good discussion was had about how boys can have pink shoes and girls can have blue.

After we got them sorted, we found Little Bear footprints that led us outside.  We followed them to rainbow puddles.  We had to cross by jumping through the puddles.  Marion put numbers on the puddles and called out numbers, and we jumped to that one.  Some of us used colour instead of numbers depending on our abilities.

Baby Bear also crossed a high beam (tree trunk across a river) on his journey – on days when we were inside, we used a low beam for this part of the adventure.  We chose if we wanted to hold hands or have a go ourselves and we crossed the beam.

Then we found Baby Bear trapped inside a log!  We problem-solved lots of ways to get him out.  We tried rolling the log, turning it on its side until finally, we made a long pole and pushed him out. We developed this adventure over many days.  Everyone had a great time.

Fe wnaethom roi eitemau pren ar y llawr pan aethom ar y daith, felly gallem ddefnyddio adroddiaid i fynd dros, o gwmpas, a rhwng.

Wedyn, roedd rhaid glanhau’r byd stori tylwyth teg (y goedwig) a chasglu’r blociau yn ôl y disgrifiad sydd yn cael ei alw allan. Ar ôl y glanhau i gyd, cyraeddasom y llwybr. Ond roedd rhaid i ni ddewis i lwybr cywir. Fe wnaeth Marion ddefnyddio lluniau o gwningod ac anifeiliaid y goedwig arall, a chawsom wahanol sialensiau mathemateg i ddarganfod y llwybr cywir.

Pryd cyraeddasom ddiwedd y llwybr, roeddem yn disgwyl bwthyn, ond nid oedd o yna! Defnyddiasom blociau i adeiladu bwthyn gyda’n gilydd ac i ddisgrifio’r siapiau wrth iddo dyfu.

Roedd rhaid i ni wneud curiad cyfrinachol i ddeffro’r eirth, ond ni ddaeth unrhyw un i’r drws. Gwnaethom siarad am ‘Clever Never Goes’ (y Stranger Danger newydd) ac os fyddai’n ddiogel i fynd i mewn i’r bwthyn.

Penderfynasom na, ond gallem glywed crio o hyd. Yn ffodus, daeth Mam Arth i’r drws. Roedd hi’n crio oherwydd bod Babi Arth ar goll. Fe wnaethom de i helpu hi i ymdawelu. Llawer o ymarfer arllwys a cheisiasom de. Dim ond un un bach wnaeth mwynhau o 😊.

Yna sylwasom yr esgidiau i gyd a phenderfynasom helpu i’w clirio. Gyda’n gilydd roedd rhaid i ni benderfynu pa esgidiau oedd yn perthyn i bwy. Nid oeddwn yn gallu defnyddio lliw felly roedd rhaid i ni ddefnyddio maint. Cawsom trafodiad da am sut gall bechgyn cael esgidiau pinc a gall merched cael glas.

Ar ôl sortio’r esgidiau, daethom o hyd i olion traed Babi Arth wnaeth ein harwain tu fas. Wnaethom ddilyn nhw i’r pyllau enfys. Roedd rhaid i ni groesi trwy neidio trwy’r pyllau. Fe wnaeth Marion roi rhifau ar y pyllau a galw rhifau allan, a neidion i’r rhif yna. Fe wnaeth rhai ohonynt hwy ddefnyddio lliw yn hytrach na rhifau yn dibynnu ar ein gallu.

Fe wnaeth Babi Arth hefyd croesi trawst uchel (boncyff coeden dros afon) ar ei daith – ar ddyddiau pryd oeddwn du fewn, defnyddiasom drawst isel am ran hwn o’r antur. Dewison ni os oeddwn eisiau dal dwylo neu roi cynnig arni ein hunain a chroesom y trawst.

Yna daethom o hyd i Babi Arth yn sownd y tu mewn i foncyff! Fe wnaethom ddatrys problemau mewn llawer o ffyrdd i’w gael allan. Fe wnaethom geisio rolio’r boncyff, ei droi ar ei ochr nes o’r diwedd, fe wnaethom bolyn hir a’i wthio allan. Fe wnaethom ddatblygu’r antur hon dros lawr o ddyddiau. Cafodd pawb amser gwych.
